2008 Race Report # 2 1/2: Nearly Firm Race Schedule

Here are the races in intend to participate this year (probably won't do all of these, so if you are in the area and are going to stop by, best to call): I'll update times and events closer in on this same page:

  1. April 6: Beloit Criterium (complete - 1st in field sprint, 6th overall)
  2. May 4: Vernon Hills Criterium (complete - 12th)
  3. May 25: ABD Wood Dale Masters Criterium (complete - 1st in field sprint, 7th overall)
  4. June 1: Winfield ABR National Masters Championships (complete - 2nd in field sprint, 4th overall)
  5. June 14: Sherman Park Criterium - Pro race (complete - DNF - broke my chain)
  6. June 21: Giro de Grafton  - Pro 1/2, 90 minutes (complete - DNF - got my ass kicked)
  7. July 6: Wood Dale Illinois State ABR Masters 40+ championships (complete - 1st in field sprint, 8th overall)
  8. July 6: Wood Dale Illinois State ABR Master's 30+ championships (complete - 5th place)
  9. July 12: Superweek - Blue Island, IL, 5:30 pm - Pro race (complete - dropped)
  10. July 13: Superweek - Olympia Fields, IL - Masters (complete - 1st in field sprint, 7th overall)
  11. July 15: Superweek - Bensenville, IL - Masters (complete - 1st in field sprint, 5th overall)
  12. July 19: Superweek - Waukesha, WI - Masters 30, 35 miles at 10:10am, and
  13. July 19: Superweek - Waukesha, WI -Masters 40, 35 miles at 11:45am
  14. July 20: Superweek - Evanston, IL Pro race, 62 miles, 5:30pm
  15. July 22: Superweek - Cedarburg Masters 40, 30 miles at 12:30pm
  16. July 24: Superweek - Racine, WI Masters 40, 40 miles at 1:25pm
  17. July 25: Superweek - Kenosha, WI Pro race, 62 miles at 5:30pm
  18. July 26: Superweek - Downer Ave, WI masters 40, 30 miles at 2:10pm, then RV party on south corner of the race during the pro race, followed by RV party at the start finish line after the event until the wee hours.
  19. July 27: Superweek - Whitefish Bay, WI Pro race, 62 miles - OR - Chicago Criterium in Grant Park...
  20. Aug 2: Elk Grove, IL
  21. Aug 3: Elk Grove, IL
  22. Aug 16: Downers Grove Nationals, IL
  23. Aug 17: Downers Grove Nationals, IL
  24. Aug 31: Tour de Villa Italia, Windsor, Canada Pro race, 62 miles
  25. Sept 1: Debates Daevos Classic, Detroit, MI Pro race, 62 miles
